Streamlining selection with FuturWrist
Situation
In today's diverse market of smartwatches, customers often face difficulties navigating through various brands, features, and prices. This complexity can lead to a frustrating shopping experience and potential loss of sales for retailers.
Task
My goal was to design a website that would simplify the smartwatch shopping experience, making it easy for users to find and compare different models. The site needed to be accessible, visually appealing, and highly functional.
Action
User Research-
Conducted qualitative research and competitor analysis to understand the needs and pain points of potential users.
Wireframes and Prototyping-
Developed wireframes to outline the website's structure and layout.
Used Figma to create the screens and interactive prototypes that allowed for iterative testing and feedback.
Design System-
Components: Utilized cards, components, and iconography to create a cohesive and visually appealing interface.
Grid System: Implemented a 12-column grid system for desktop, ensuring a smooth user experience that seamlessly adapts to different screen sizes.
Color Scheme: Selected Charcoal Gray, Snow White, Mint Green, and Sunbeam Yellow to create a vibrant and inviting platform.
Typography: Chose Lato and Merriweather for their clean, modern lines, enhancing readability and bringing a sense of comfort and clarity to the website’s interface.
Feature Implementation-
Added tools and filters to help users narrow down their choices based on brand, features, and price.
Designed clear product comparison sections to facilitate easy decision-making.
Usability Testing-
Conducted usability testing to gather feedback and refine the design. Incorporated feedback to enhance the website's functionality and user experience.
Result
By consolidating various smartwatch options into a single, easy-to-navigate website, I aimed to create a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for users. If implemented, this project has the potential to significantly improve the shopping experience for smartwatch customers.
